  confidential information is protected. Physical and logical security
  ensures that there can be no unauthorized access to the terminal
  applications or data.
  
• Multi-function terminals suited to online and offline payment.
  Several applications can operate in complete security on the same terminal.
  
• The development of applications using smart cards.
  Unicapt provides interaction with ISO 7816-1,2,3,4 cards supporting both
  synchronous and asynchronous processing.
  
• The management of several hardware peripherals (smart card / magnetic
  stripe card readers, modem, printer, etc.).

At Cartes 2002, Ingenico launched its new 32-bit UNICAPT platform to bring
enhanced security, performance and openness to businesses that require
multi-application support.

This is a state-of-the-art platform built around the Ingenico's Security
Core hardware module with embedded security and a powerful
multi-application operating system.

An EMV 4.0 Level 1 & 2 Kernel is an integral part of UNICAPT 32, enabling
Ingenico's new generation of products to provide an easy transition path
to full EMV certification while ensuring fast processing of cryptographic
algorithms.
